Michelle (owner of Designs by Michelle) has been painting furniture and refinishing cabinets for over 25 years. Passionate about her work, she is constantly researching all available paint options. If there is a product that can be used to paint furniture, she has tried it! About 5 years ago, she discovered ASCP. Although she's continued to sample other "chalk" style paints, the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® finished product is like no other!
Chalk Paint® is different. It is not simply paint with chalk added to it. It is not chalkboard paint. It is not made by adding plaster of Paris or grout or even baking soda to an existing paint. Chalk Paint® is the unique decorative paint Annie Sloan developed for furniture, floors and walls, drawing on a lifetime of research and experience in working with paint and color. There is only one Chalk Paint®!
Chalk Paint® is safe. It is a non-toxic, water-based paint that is lead-free, EG-free, odor-free and has very low volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
